SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif.–()–Renewable Energy Corporation (REC) today announced the appointment of Jan Jacob Boom-Wichers as the Managing Director Americas at REC Solar, expanding sales activity in these regions. Jan Jacob Boom-Wichers is responsible for the sales of REC solar modules in the U.S. as well as in the Americas in his new role.

Mr. Boom-Wichers joined REC in 2009 and was previously the Managing Director for France, Benelux, UK and Ireland for REC, which today accounts for over 10 percent of REC’s sales.
With extensive experience in the solar industry, Jan Jacob Boom-Wichers brings to REC U.S. leadership experience from European markets that have traditionally led industry growth. Jan Jacob Boom-Wichers is a Dutch-American citizen. He holds a BA in Economics from Swarthmore College and an MBA from the Wharton School. He will be based in California.
