SAN MATEO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–SolarCity®, a national leader in solar power financing, design, installation, monitoring and energy efficiency services, today announced that Linda Keala has been appointed vice president of human resources. Keala will report to COO Peter Rive and will oversee SolarCity’s ongoing talent acquisition and human resources functions.

SolarCity’s one-stop-shop approach to solar and energy efficiency has made it one of the fastest growing companies in the U.S., despite the broader recession. The company has more than doubled its workforce in the past year, growing from 550 employees in March of 2010 to more than 1,100 employees today. Keala’s more than 20 years of experience will help manage SolarCity’s employee growth and compensation, benefits, performance management, training and development programs.

Keala was also previously an executive vice president and chief people officer of USWeb/CKS, one of the world’s largest Internet consulting firms servicing Fortune 100 companies.
